For instance in the battle of Badr at the time of Rasullulah(Saw), where the Muslim army was 300 men and they were facing an army of 1000 strong. So at such a moment when you are outnumbered there is room for anxiety, but Allah at that time brought down upon them the Muslims sakeenah (serenity), and sent rain to cool them and to make the ground firm under their feet. Then a strange thing happened, when suddenly they all fell asleep, “When He encompassed you all with slumber as a source of Peace from Him.” [Al Qur’an].

Abdullah bin Saud (May Allah have mercy upon him) says. “Slumber during fighting is a source of peace from Allah (swt), and slumber during Salaah is from shaitaan.”

So the companions of Rasullulah (saw) were facing death before them, yet they fell asleep. [QUOTE="ibnanv, post: 13136999, member: 218596"] [SIZE=4][COLOR=#666699][I][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Promise 17 of 25[/FONT][/I][/COLOR][/SIZE] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4] [COLOR=#333399][I][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Peace and security[/FONT][/I][/COLOR][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana] Allah the Most high, says,[/FONT][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [CENTER][SIZE=4][COLOR=#666699][FONT=Verdana] “It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.”[/FONT][/COLOR][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][/SIZE][/CENTER] [CENTER][SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana][B][Al Qur’an 6:82][/B][/FONT][/SIZE][/CENTER] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]Only Allah can give peace.[/FONT][/SIZE] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]People claim to have the solution to bringing peace to the heart, but only Allah has the solution.[/FONT][/SIZE] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]This security can be in different forms. Then a strange thing happened, when suddenly they all fell asleep, [COLOR=#666699]“[/COLOR][/FONT][I][COLOR=#666699][FONT=Verdana]When He encompassed you all with slumber as a source of Peace from Him.[/FONT][/COLOR][/I][I][COLOR=#666699][FONT=Verdana]”[/FONT][/COLOR][/I][FONT=Verdana] [I][Al Qur’an][/I]. [/FONT][/SIZE] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]Abdullah bin Saud (May Allah have mercy upon him) says. [COLOR=#666699]“Slumber during fighting is a source of peace from Allah (swt), and slumber during Salaah is from shaitaan.”[/COLOR][/FONT][/SIZE] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]So the companions of Rasullulah (saw) were facing death before them, yet they fell asleep. Imagine and Look at the tranquillity that came to them from Allah, this is something that can only come from Allah. No worldly preparation, no training, nothing can prepare one for that. This is from Allah. The gift is from Him(swt).[/FONT][/SIZE] [B] [SIZE=4][URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/2008/06/27/promise-16-of-25/"]Promise 16 of 25[/URL][/SIZE] [/B] [SIZE=4] Published June 27, 2008 [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/category/25-promises/"]25 promises[/URL] , [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/category/quran/"]Quran[/URL] [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/2008/06/27/promise-16-of-25/#respond"]Leave a Comment[/URL] Tags: [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/tag/barakah/"]barakah[/URL], [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/tag/believers/"]believers[/URL], [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/tag/blessings/"]blessings[/URL], [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/tag/islam/"]islam[/URL], [URL="http://dailyreminders.wordpress.com/tag/quran/"]Quran[/URL] [/SIZE] [SIZE=4][COLOR=#666699][I][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Promise 16 of 25[/FONT][/I][/COLOR][/SIZE] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4] [COLOR=#800080][I][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Blessings – Barakah[/FONT][/I][/COLOR][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]Allah the Most high, says,[/FONT][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4][COLOR=green][FONT=Verdana] “If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, we should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth, but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.”[/FONT][/COLOR][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [CENTER][CENTER][SIZE=4][B][FONT=Verdana][Al Qur’an 7:96][/FONT][/B][/SIZE][/CENTER][/CENTER] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]We should not believe in Allah and His messenger(saw) in order to seek the blessings of this world, rather we should seek the blessings of the hereafter.[/FONT][/SIZE] [SIZE=4][FONT=Verdana]However at times Allah will bless this Ummah.
