Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 2420866" data-attributes="member: 92282">The government is reported to have decided to close the Fort, Colpetty and Slave Island railway stations with effect from 29th this month (July) as a security measure adopted for the forthcoming 15th SAARC summit.   All trains on the Matara-Galle coastal line, it is said will operate upto Bambalapitiya while all other trains passing the Ragama railway station will terminate at Maradana, including those that commute on the Kelani Valley line.The government is said to be making arrangements to provide a shuttle service from these railway stations to Colombo Fort, upto D.R.Wijewardne Mawatha to turn around near the Lake House.There will be a newly decided high security zone stretching from Colpetty junction to Fort and Slave Island - Elephant House junction and extending to York Street during the period 25th July to 04th August, according to the latest reports received.
