There may be reasons like user friendleness , roubtness , becos everybody using it and many more types of various reasons. You can just print a about 100 of sheets of survay and distribute them among your friends in your class. and collect it back and analyze that data and find out what are the most strongest reasons whyppl using the microsoft windows.
