Tamils... he talk about Tamils ! ... nooo.. I say he has to talk about the Guerrilla's. At the end of 30 years, LTTE had lost all it's root causes which led to begin this war on the first place. So it was not a war between TAMILS and Sinhalese !!He talk about loss of equal rights and harassment ? ... BLOODY HELL ! .. ask him to point one such place with enough evidence ! This country as far as I know is far off better than many of the places I had gone to when comparing rights and chances for it's citizens to excel on what they are good at.He was right... 50 years ago blacks were slaves and abrogation didn't have equal rights.. but at the same time, he should remember that 50 years ago, our Sri Lankan women could VOTE !So, am I not to be amused and take my step a bit far away from the sort of people who accuse us for not treating anyone correctly.. regardless of equal rights or not?Does he think (or do you) in Australia you have equal rights? you don't !! What makes you think why they have a ruled (USA) that a certain number of your workforce must be black ? ..  what would you call this ? does that classify as discrimination or is it just the way USA the big brother does things ?If he wants to talk about building trust and relationship... he should start with the approved notion that Sri Lankans are not judgmental about what ethnicity you belong to !  There are ofcource hidden agenda's and ideas in everyone's mind.. but as a whole of the country.... we are considered as one nation.. one set of people and no one is lesser or superior than any !He should have started with that notion and work towards building this nation as well as it's war torn values through working together and mutual understanding.......not to look for trust from Sinhalese (which is a classification by it self from him and purposely demoting his status as a citizen of this country)Mind should I ask this person to take a look around.... some of the most richest men in this country are indeed Tamils.. starting from Maharaja's to the majority of JKH as well ! Although that's a mere cross section of the story... , how can this person say that rights and freedom of Tamils are restricted and barred in Sri Lanka.. and that he should write about ammending it?Again.. as I said.. I may be cynical..... but I hate in dealing with this type of dis-illutionized people who take fancy in being arm chair warriors or simply plain stupid to de-classify thier own selves as minor citizens whom have to try so hard to build their status in this country !</blockquote>
