Message: <blockquote data-quote="srgdr" data-source="post: 11700109" data-attributes="member: 375528">The Commissioner General of Examinations Anura Edirisinghe said that release of results of 2011 Advanced Level Examination will be delayed by another few days, due to the specialist committee appointed to decide on z-score levels has not finalised their decisions. He said that the information requested by the University Grants Commission has already been provided to the specialist committee. The Committee has informed the University Grants Commission that they could not finalise the z-score levels today and they need to analyse the details tomorrow as well. Mr. Edirisinghe further said that the University Grants Commission has informed that the committee decisions will be submitted to the Attorney General and upon taking the final decision it will be forwarded to him. meanwhile, Mr. Tissa Hewavitharana has been appointed as the new Commissioner General of the Educational Publications. This appointment will come to effect from the 1st of next month. At present Mr. Hewavitharana is functioning as the Chief Commissioner of Teacher Education in the Ministry of Education.
