They have to know that they can't charge more for something that doesn't perform at least on par.However, if they could bring an awesome chipset that is very inexpensive with all the tech features available as of today, then it's ok to price the CPU a little higher, because in the end of the day, it is the price of the PC as a whole, that matters to the end user. Maybe lower the ATI cards' prices and make them work better with AMD CPUs/Chipset than Intel. (By this I'm not saying that they should deliberately slow it on a non-AMD platform, because they will lose VGA card market as well...maybe ability do certain CPU limited processing on the VGA etc. (not as hardcore as the hybrids)</blockquote>
