You are not entitled to annual leave during your first calendar year of employment (January 01-December 31) as per the Shop and Office Act.Since you joined in January this year, from 2023 January 1st , you will be entitled to 14 days as per the shop and office act. Employment Laws in any country stipulated the minimum standards for employment. Organizations cannot offer the benefits lower than the laws. But organizations can always offer benefits higher than the law. Therefore some companies give more annual leave benefits to the employees. Some gives more than 14 days per year and some gives leave during the first year. Therefore contact the HR department and ask about the leave policy of the company</blockquote>
