Message: <blockquote data-quote="Screw SL" data-source="post: 14259522" data-attributes="member: 455444"><a href="http://www.newsfirst.lk/news1st/node/19946" target="_blank">Sri Lankan gets death penalty in Qatar</a>                                <a href="http://www.newsfirst.lk/news1st/sites/default/files/court_4.jpeg" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.newsfirst.lk/news1st/sites/default/files/styles/node_inner/public/court_4.jpeg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></a>                               A court in Qatar has imposed the death penalty on a Sri Lankan youth.     The convict is a twenty-two-year old Wengadaaslam Sudeshkar.     He has been charged for stabbing and killing an Indian youth employed in Qatar.     Wengadaaslam Sudeshkar who is a resident of Kandana has left for employment in Qatar in March in 2010.     He has been arrested on suspicion in connection with the incident in June in 2011.     The mother of Sudeshkar said the parents of the murdered youth has  requested a sum of Rs.3.5 million as compensation in order to pardon her  son.     However, she said that she cannot afford such an amount.     Newsfirst made an inquiry from the Sri Lankan embassy in Qatar in this regard.     A senior officer in the embassy said all information in this regard has been forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs.     The Ministry of External Affairs said that all steps will be taken to release Wengadaslam Sudeshkar.                                         Source: <a href="http://www.newsfirst.lk/news1st/node/19946" target="_blank">http://www.newsfirst.lk/news1st/node/19946</a></blockquote>
