Figured there is no point buying a new VGA right now. Actually was going to buy a friend's 9800gtx.

9600GT is more than enough to game at 1280x1024. First I need to buy a bigger monitor before thinking about a better VGA. And if I buy a better VGA now, by the time I buy a bigger monitor it might not be enough.

Besides, all these big VGAs use up a shit load of power. Wise thing to do is to wait for the 40nm parts to kick in.

It's the resolution that matters. And ONLY if you have LCD. With CRTs you can always lower the resolution without getting the images blurry.

19" works well at 1920*1440 and 21" at 2048*1536
Those are professional grade Philips & Iiyama CRTs
