President Mahinda Rajapakse, in his capacity of the Defence Minister, today presented a proposal for a supplementary estimate seeking Rs. 33 billion to cover the expenses of the three forces, which include the payment of salaries and compensations to those who lost their lives during the war. Need of the hour is not big defence force......... Now the war is over. We do not require huge force to safe guard the nation. No major threat as LTTE is totally wiped off.
