I recently noticed my Wi Fi was extremely slow on both my MacBook Pro and iPhone. The speed was around 20 mbps (below 50 mbps most of the time)
I contacted Starlink and they told me it seemed like my devices were too far from the router even though I was only a couple of ft away.
They even sent me a replacement router for free I just set it up but no luck
Then I saw this post by Fiqri Ismail that mentioned Apple AWDL might be causing the problem I tried running
.
sudo ifconfig awdl0 down
.
and right away my internet speed went back to normal hitting over 300 Mbps.
I am on macOS 26.2 and the same version on my iPhone
I later found a few similar discussions on Apple forums too Posting this here in case it helps someone else who is dealing with the same thing. (check the comments)
If anyone knows a permanent solution for this please comment
