Agree with some facts but disagree with Pros 4,5 and  Cons 2,3.My previous 15" Macbook pro was a 2012 high end model that didn't come with an SSD. It couldn't handle OS X Mavericks. It got slowed like hell with new OS updates even with 16GB of RAM. And its heavy because it's made with an aluminium uni-body unlike plastic PC laptops.Currently using a 2015 13" MBP , and it's still heavy although it's smaller. It has SSD so didn't get slow with OS updates though. If you need a lighter Mac it has to  be a Macbook Air.About the cons,"You will be trapped inside a box," ? Not really. You can do anything , if OS limits you with something youcan install Windows side by side (bootcamp)You can crack software in Mac. Almost all paid software have cracks for Mac as well.
