We at =AZWcPZ7cFyPpRRX4yPgtDa6YXpjoC1scCyFhJoT2vpZRezrPxGkQzRzDKbQj6QVmBfD2EJkdNNv0n8j8wURLXLfngIRWxNT05EA6k-VD-9LEOq7UnYfRo2NIwcmiO8RzbyWiLfCTV3H7C5YCs3tddkaOBRvHGsROz8yy_xd9Mj4zoiQQFDxUY9_oQriy_LDuCF0&__tn__=R]-R']Genxt Sri Lanka have noted some of the concerns raised by the public regarding the communication regarding the new TRCSL regulations. We hope the following clarification will be useful; •The mentioned regulations have been 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐓𝐑𝐂𝐒𝐋 which is a government body under the Ministry of Defence and not Genxt Sri Lanka •Regulations imposed by a government body supersedes regulations of any organisation policy in Sri Lanka •As per the Apple service policy, the defective unit has to be exported to the regional headquarters in order to complete a repair process. With the new instructions, TRCSL will not approve export of such devices that are not TRCSL registered, therefore an Authorized Service Partner is compelled to refuse the repair of such devices. •Genxt has previously repaired all Apple devices whilst advising the customer the process for TRCSL approval, as for re-export TRCSL approval is needed •These regulations may have been brought into place as the country loses vital tax revenues due to unregistered devices (illegal imports) and these devices may also pose security concerns as well. •All Apple Authorized Service Providers have been informed the same by TRCSL. Therefore, Genxt Sri Lanka released this communication to avoid inconveniences Apple Customers will have to face with the new TRCSL regulations -- Copied from FB
