If you really wanna know there are four wide spreaded sects in buddhism (in percent world) Therawada, Mahayana, Wajrayana and Tibetiyan. And these sects dont fight with other sects to prove which one is the right one. Except for tibetian and Zen the basic fundamentals of other sects are much sameCause buddhism was divided in to two sects in the beginning (Theriya, Maha saangika) and theriya is what we call therawada and Maha saangika divided in to other sects. and the only difference of the major two sects was that Theriya Sect had 10 more rules for Bhikkus and Maha saangika decided to not to have them4. Therawada is practiced in Sri lanka, India, Burma, Miyanmar and Nepal as far as i know. Mahayana vastly is in In some parts of precent china and Korea. Zen (mahayana) is Japanese Buddhism. and Wajraayana is in countries like Bhuthan and Mongolia. There is a web site called Wikipedia and you can find lot more information from there. I haven't researched about other sects except therawada cause they are not popular in sri lanka. 6. And you are right, I dont know 100% about all buddhist preachings. Cause its not contained in a single book like other religions. There are plenty much threads  in this elakiri which explain about Therawada buddhism and its scripture. But i know buddhism enough to see and experience the truth in it.7. And i dont start arguing with muslim nut jobs as a buddhist my self if it is not directly addressed to buddhists or if some false details have given regard buddhism. I always enter the arguments as an atheist. Its a quite good topic to learn new stuff about cosmology, physics, energy and its tons of fun too.8. We dont blame other religions falsely and where ever we had done that we have given proofs from your own so called holy books. But you people do not accept the clear truth and try to argue. here is a simple example-" 1.Would you accept that an having sex (abuse) with a nine year old girl is humane and a something you should allow to be done in civilized society is brutal, pedophile, abusive insane and illegal act no matter who did it?   2.
