Fernando was also  the former chief executive officer of Pan Asia Bank. She was nominated  as chairman for People's Bank prior to selecting her as Chairman for Sri  Lanka Tourism Development Authority, however, given controversies  erupted in her tenure as CEO to Pan Asia Bank, the decision was later  changed, according to reports.  Former Chairman of Keels, Susantha Rathnayake has been appointed as  Chairman of Board of Insvestment. Rathnayake was a former chairman of  Ceylon Tea Board and a former chairman of Sri Lanka Commerce Board. He  also served as a board member in the board of directors of Sri Lankan  Airlines, and is a well experienced individual in the business sector. </blockquote>
