But the reality is that it depends on your qualifications.  Many people migrated long time ago after obtaining their professional qualifications.  Yes.. some of them went for higher training or to read for a PhD. They did not jump across to get a basic degree. .  The recent trend of overseas tertiary education with the intention to obtain residency created all sorts of issues.I have my friends all over the developed world. Many work for the NHS (UK) and they are doing pretty well. So are the ones in the US, Canada, Australia & NZ.This is not to say that you cannot survive without a Professional qualification. There are many who are successful by pure hard work. It's the attitude that matters. Everything depends on yourself and if you are a dynamic person, you would be successful.It's the time to get away from SL. Things have gone from bad to worse. Finally what matters is not where you are... If you are in Rome and if they kick the soccer ball with their left leg, you do the same. Not the right leg.  You got to adapt yourself and stop thinking SriLankan way. You can be a SriLankan at your own residence in your own privacy.
