If you have a set of raw sales data(when/what/who/how much bought, etc.), what kind of patterns are you able to recognize from the data?

What are the tools and techniques can be used to identify these patterns and relationships hidden in the raw data set, which cannot be seen just by looking at the tabulated data set?

What kind of basic software tools can extract these patterns automatically?

Basically you can use programming language like Python or R and analyze the insights. (If you have a really big data)
Else you can use Microsoft Excel to do the job.
Also if you are keen on reporting and development of dashboards, you can use PowerBI, Google data studio and etc. for the task.
