There is software available - but needs Bitlocker metadata intact and the password or the 48 digit recovery keyIf you want to wipe out any drive use a proper program. I use DBAN to wipe drives to DoD compliant standards. No recovery is possible.There are windows based free utilities as well.To format a Bitlocker external device first decrypt the device and then format.You can use an encrypted drive on another computer as long as the OS supports Bitlocker.</blockquote>
