Standard ආවෙ Rear Wheel Drive.ලංකාවෙ තියෙන ගොඩක්  BMW 520d වල option අඩුයි. මොකද permit  වලට ගෙනාව වාහන නිසා යම්කිසි උපරිමයකට  යටත් වෙන්න වෙන නිසා. 2011 ඉදන් 2014 වෙනකන් ආවේ Pre-Facelift Model එක. 2014 ඉදන් 2016 වෙනකන් ආවා Facelift model එක. මේ අතර ආවා M Sport Version එකකුත්.  M5 එක ගැන නෙවෙයි මේ කියන්නෙ.  Bodykit එකයි ඇතුලෙ පොඩි පොඩි features ඇරුනම ඔක්කොම එක සමානයි. Maintenance Cost එක ගැන කිවුවොත් Normal Regular Service එක කරන්න ඕන 8000-10000 km අතර. මේකට Oil, Oil Filter අවශ්‍ය නම් Air Filter එක මාරු කරනවා. Oil එක Shell Helix ULTRA 5W40. But BMW Recommends Castrol. ඒකට අමතරව  Cabin Air Filter, Diesel Filter මාරු කරන්න ඕන 40000 km වලට සැරයක්.  Gearbox එක නම් Lifetime oil එකක් ත්මයි දාලා තියෙන්නෙ. ලංකාවෙ නම් මේක ඕන උනොත් මාරු කරනවා. Normal practice is to change around 80,000km. Tyre නම් එන්නෙ 225/55/R17 Run Flat Standard. 18” Wheel ආව Models තියෙනවා. Run Flat නොවෙන tyre නම් අඩුවට තියෙනවා. මේකෙ Jack එකක්, Tyre Repair Kit එකක් තියා Wheel Brush එකක්වත් එන්නෙ නෑ. ඒක නිසා Runflat දාන එක තමා හොදම. තෙල් නම් City 10-12 Kmpl, Outstation 15-18 Kmpl වගේ කරනවා. අපේ Driving Habits, Driving Mode එක අනුව මේක වෙනස් වෙනවා. Sport, Comfort, Eco කියලා Driving Modes 3ක් එනවා. 70L Fuel Tank Capacity එකක් තියෙනවා  උපරිම වේගය 240 km/h වගේ තමයි.  Regenerative Braking එනවා. 4 දෙනෙකුට සැපට යන්න පුලුවන්. පිටිපස්සෙ 3න් දෙනෙක් යනවා නම් Gear Box Hump එක නිසා මැද යන කෙනාට අමාරුයි. පිටිපස්ස seat නම් පට්ටම සැප. Long Drive වලට කියාපු වහනෙ. Boot Capacity එකත් ගොඩක් හොදයි.Rear Brake Pads මාරු කරන්න වෙනවා 25000 Km වලින් වගේ. Front Brake Pads නම් 35000ක් වගේ පුලුවන්. 45000ක් වගෙ වෙනවා Brake Pads Set එකක්. Brake Disk එකක් 35000ක් වගේ වෙනවා. Price ඔක්කොම Prestige Automobile එකෙ ගනන් දාල තියෙන්නෙ. Auto Bavaria, Milroy  වගේ තව තැන් තියෙනවා Service කරගන්න පුලුවන්. Power Mirrors, Power Shutters, Adaptive Dampers, Power Seats, Power Steering Wheel Adjustment. USB Audio, Bluetooth, DVD, Navigation, Rear Sunblinds, Xenon Headlights, LED Rear Lights, Daytime Running Lights, Center Lock වගේ සාමන්‍ය options ගොඩක් තියෙනවා. ඇතුලෙ තියෙන Display එකෙන් වාහනේ සියලුම කරන්න තියෙන Maintenance බලගන්න පුලුවන්. මම  දැකලා තියෙන ප්‍රශ්න තමයි ගොඩාක් වාහන වල අව්වෙ නවත්තලා තිබ්බම Interior Trims Damage වෙන එක. ඒවා මාරු කරන්න පට්ට ගානක් යනවා. වාහනෙ දිග වැඩි නිසා මැද වදින්න පුලුවන් අවදානමක් තියෙනවා.Ground Clearance එක නම් ගොඩාක් හොදයි.  ලොකුම අවුල තමයි Maintenance Cost එක. අනික ලංකාවෙ OEM Parts හොයගන්න අමරුයි. Genuine Partsම තමා දන්න වෙන්නේ. වෙලාවට Maintenance කරන්න බැරි නම් ගන්න එපා. හරියට වෙලාවට Maintenance ටික කරගත්තා නම් අවුල් මුකුත් නෑ. -Written by a car enthusiast..!
