But just because some part of a song sounds like something u have heard before doesn't mean that it was ripped off..(For example the start of Paranoid Earthling's 'Pull Me Under' sounds a hell of a lot like 'Nirvana'..but thats no surprise because Earthlings are a punk Metal Band & They have said openly that Niravana was a major influence.. and the rest of the song..ITs earthlings ALL the way...that is influence..not ripping off)So if Rock Bands in SL can dish out Originals without ripping stuff off (They dare not..because they will get caught in minutes of doing so..) why cant r pop artists do the same ? Is it just lazinesses ? the knowledge that they could get away with it & nobody will care about it..It certainly seems to be the case when reading this forum judging by the majority of opinions..My opinion is..dont let them get away with it... If u dont have a melody or an idea why ripp something off from another artist who had the original inspiration....if people are willing to pay money to buy your album then work hard to earn it.... We deserve originality from the local artists.... thats what we r paying for...</blockquote>
