This was confirmed also by the State media a short while ago.     Shanmugam Kumaran Tharmalingham also known as Kumaran Pathmanathan or just KP (49) is a key LTTE leader who was in charge of weapons smuggling and believed to live in Thailandand Cambodia. He is one of Interpol’s most wanted terrorists, wanted for participation in terrorism and the murder of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.    [FONT=´Times New Roman´]Recently he proclaimed that he had been appointed leader of the Tiger outfit after the death of its leader V. Prabhakaran in May this year.
