Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 11346670" data-attributes="member: 92282">The Private Bus Operators' Association (PBOA)  of Sri Lanka says that it would launch an island wide protest campaign  if the government fails to respond to its demands by the end of  Saturday. The PBOA earlier in the month called on the government to either  provide a diesel subsidy to the bus operators or to allow them to  increase bus fares. The Association gave the government a deadline till  the 10th of the month. Since the government had not responded by the 10th, PBOA Head,  Gemunu Wijeratne has said the Association would give time till the end  of today for the government to respond to their demand.   He has said that an island wide protest campaign would be launched  and the Association's executive committee is to meet Sunday to make a  final decision.CP</blockquote>
