I burned a copy of his game to a DVD a few days after he uploaded it, and when I ran it through the updated ABGX 1.0.2 today (11/12/2009) and, obviously since it's already burned, with NO AUTO FIX ON the game passed stealth and verification. This can take days or even weeks.</em></span></em></p><p> </p><p><em><span style="font-family: 'Arial'"><strong>Q. When I put the MW 2 disc that I burned into my Xbox 360, it says Play DVD. This is because it is a Wave 4 game, and unless you have a Hitachi DVD drive with 1.51, you will need 1.6 firmware and "activate.iso" in order to play a Wave 4 game. If you want to play it now, take out your HDD and any memory units and disconnect all internet connections prior to the release date to be on the safe side. </em></span></em><em><em><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">Some people may argue about the existence of the so-called NAND chip. However, its existence is yet to be proven, and even if it did this copy will match that of an actual retail release. Taking out the HDD and unplugging internet connection may help, consider it precautionary step. We never know whatMicrosoft looks for when suspecting a modded console, there may be unknown variables that they check being the game itself the major variable. Playing this game online would be like getting a retail copy legit from a retailer sold to you before release date - which occasionally happens (Wal-Mart), and you can't be banned for that. That being said, with a release this big you will be drawing unwanted attention to your gamertag and console so I would not even risk it. If you want to play it, take out your HDD and any memory units and disconnect allinternet connections prior to the release date to be on the safe side. </em></span></em><em><em><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">Again, Microsoft may be checking not only the game to detect modded consoles but other things that we don't know - so if they detect you online prior to release, you can bet they'll be looking into things.</span></em></em></p><p> </p><p><em><strong>** There are certain retailers - Gamestop locations - who have been given the go ahead to start selling MW 2 today, Sunday November 8th, in some Northeastern states in the United States. Obviously make sure you're using DL DVDs - I personally use Maxell DVD+R DL DVDs and they work with absolutely noproblem and my MW 2 copy has been flawless across all game modes, but another one of the best are the Verbatim DVD+R DLs.
