[QUOTE="saraprobe, post: 488536, member: 13914"] They were once in the Throne- major concerts, launching of their album "Urumaya", live TV shows and in other media promoting their songs and the band. The day never ends without a moment of reflecting songs of Centigradz. However, the past couple of months, nothing new came from the Centigradz apart from the already accomplished songs which are sometimes views and aired on the TV and radio shows. What's happening to Centigradz? Is it still on existence? Well…………. "Centigradz are alive and involved in major activities though they have not been in the public view for sometimes. "It's almost a year since we last did the "Centigradz Live in Concert Tour" covering major cities. But the guys have been doing a lot of major concerts the past few months though no one of our very own, like we did a year ago," admits Amila Niroshan of Centigradz. While this veiled time from the public view, Centigradz got significant chances to get involved different beats in various sectors, when the TV channels, including Rupavahini, Swarnavahini, Sirasa TV sought them to promote their programmes. "It's remarkable to receive those projects from such great corporations .They wanted innovative, upgrated and meaningful productions for their finest programs and promotions," said Amila. Among the production of Centigradz for the channels are the theme song of "Ape Gama" for Rupavahini , theme song of "Ha Ha Pura" Swarnavahini and the News theme and the Official theme song for the Sinhala /Tamil New Year for ITN ,were major projects they undertook this time. "The feedback we got from the clients and our fans was just overwhelming," said Amila, confidently. Apart from the TV channels involvement, Centigradz has leaped into the big screen cinema. "Its something we always wanted to do and we got some wonderful opportunities this year to work on two quality productions, namely "Heart Fm" by Senesh Dissanayake and "Piyabanna Asai" by Udayakantha Warnasuriya," added Amila, with excitement. Centigradz composed three songs including the " Title Track" of the movie "Heart Fm" and two songs for "Piyabanna Asai mata" . By entering into the big screen, Thusith, main guy behind the Centigradz' tune made a name for himself for being the 'Youngest' music director in Sri Lanka to produce music for a movie. He also collaborated with the veteran musician Mr.Navarathna Gamage for a very special song in "Heart Fm". "It was a totally new experience for us because we were featured in the movie so we had to act. We would never ever forget the great time we had on the set. All in all, Centigradz are flying high, but have they forgotten to integrate their camaraderie with another album?"We signed up with Universal Records for the second album and it's a great achievement for the band. The name for the next album is not yet decided, but the guys will be picking a name from the featured Track list. The album is supposed to be released in October.
