It was my understanding that as far as content is concerned the translation of quran is sufficient. For a seeker like my self, there is no way to learn Islam then. Why?(1) I do not accept what others say, I have to look and see for my self.(2) I may never learn arabic(3) So there no way for me to know the true quaran, since I may never learn arabic, so I don't have a chance to know myself. Really good. I think the whole confusion is there since no one really specifies the rules of the challenge.My observations so far,(1)In Quran(English translation) Allah says that the challenge is universal/for everyone(Implies there aren't any limitations in my opinion) but Allah never says anything about it being in Arabic Nor he is specific about what is meant by the word 'like'(surah like it) (2)No one really knows the conditions of the challenge, so they make up their own conditions(This is ok as long as proven with reasonable logic). In what sense do you say this is authentic? In my opinion if you are providing authentic information it should be (1) Proof on some one trying the challenge(Not from a story)(2) He/She failing the challenge (Please specify who decided that he failed. Islam biased judges are not acceptable, for obvious reasons)(3) From an unbiased source There's nothing to apologize for.My opinion on the challenge, The challenge was for some specific people at the time of the Prophet, It is divine to Muslims. Presenting the challenge to prove the divinity of Allah or for anything else to a Non Muslim is pointless.</blockquote>
