Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 11315734" data-attributes="member: 92282"><img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/c0/Channel_4_New_Logo.svg/100px-Channel_4_New_Logo.svg.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /> <img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e8/ITN_logo.svg/100px-ITN_logo.svg.png" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />The UK's Channel 4 is to screen a second documentary on alleged war  crimes in Sri Lanka, a week after Britain's media regulator ruled its  first was fair and impartial. Sri Lanka's Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished (wt) has been  commissioned by C4 head of news and current affairs Dorothy Byrne.   Sri Lanka's Killing Fields aired in June using mobile phone footage and  eye witness accounts of war crimes being committed at the end of the  country's civil war between the government and Tamil Tigers rebel forces  in 2009.   The film was produced by ITN Productions, which has also been commissioned to make the follow up.   C4 says director Callum Macrae has accumulated new evidence including  photos, videos and eye witness accounts and the follow up programme is  being prepared to air in the New Year (January 2012).   The new film will be available to see around the world via C4's on  demand platform 4oD. The first film was seen in more than 30 territories  via 4oD and televised in Australia, India, Denmark, Norway and Belgium.   Media regulator Ofcom received 118 complaints about the original broadcast, but found in C4's favour.    Byrne, who commissioned both programmes, recently told a House of Lords  select committee hearing on investigative journalism that the Sri Lankan  government had launched a "worldwide PR exercise" against C4 as a  result of the broadcast.   The Sri Lankan government has repeatedly questioned the film's integrity.c21media</blockquote>
