I mean Banking is just banking. It should neither be Islmaic banking nor Buddhist type banking. It should be regulated by the government and not by a so called religion group. Till recent Muslim People used conventional banking system in Sri lanka without any doubt. But our government has given approval for Islamic banking just because of the Ulama group. Now the Ulama group will regulate and control the Islamic banking sections of Local banks. Guess who make the profits from it. Islamic banking is Same like Halal logo, if one company starts using it others will follow because of the profit motive and the Competition. And Now moderate Muslims in our country will also have to follow it because, if not they will get accused most probably for not following their religion. This is what happens when Ulama group has mixed the religion with banking. Whoever the one who gave approval for Islamic banking in Sri lanka is a total dumb ass.</blockquote>
