Though an island wide strike had been organized to be held today, it has been withheld due to temporary withdrawal of the bill by the government. However, the trade unions insist that the bill should be totally withdrawn. If the Government fails to do so, the employees of Petroleum Corporation too would join their struggle say trade unions of the Electricity Board.    A demonstration to oppose the bill was held opposite Head Office of Electricity Board yesterday (23rd).</blockquote>
