Sri Lanka Cricket had paid Rs. three million for the Russian cheerleaders at the first one-day international against India in Dambulla, reports said.

Their services had been obtained after calling for tenders.

However, cheerleading was terminated from the second game following opposition by the Ministry of Cultural affairs.
