That's the Australian way.  Below is an example how Aussies treat a cheat when caught, and when beg for mercy. Some years ago (may be early/mid 90s) there was a Tasmanian parliamentarian caught claiming  travel allowances when he visiting his mum. It was all over every media, day and night. They (media) even checking the laws, and suggesting what sort of punishment this bugger should get. Few days later, this bugger was found in his bathtub with cuts to his wrists (it seems like he try to commit suicide, but I don't believe it's a real attempt, to this date I believe it's all a set up). From that moment onwards none of the media ever mentioned that fraud, and parliament also not press charges against him, and he got away without even having a black mark to his career.</blockquote>
