Yeah, Sri Lanka’s situation is really tough right now ~ poverty runs deep, and the path to success is never straightforward. Even though the government has introduced an Interest~Free Student Loan Scheme to help students pursue higher education, the overall support & opportunities remain very limited. They still require a good income to qualify, so the very poor simply cannot access it and end up giving up on their dreams. Some people, desperate for help, resort to illegal ways ~ like falsely claiming cultivation to get loans meant for farming, just to fund their studies.
