AFAIK Sony Cibershot S series doesn’t have Image stabilization, so I don’t recommend those at all try the W series instead. In Canon cameras,  image stabilization is marked by letters IS at the end of the model name (i.e : SD1100 IS).One more thing, not all cameras of a particular brand (whether it be Sony, Canon or Lumix) are equally good. Some models are bad and some are good. You have to read a review to find out which is better.
