You can see in most of my threads I have ask rep if they like it. But I never forced anyone to add rep me. In other forum sites which don't have a reputation system we can't see any valuable threads mostly. (I don't say there isn't but not everytime) Just google them and you can see about that. So having a reputation system is a good idea I thinks. And it is helps us to know about members. If a member have good reps points then we can say he/she is a good member. If not we know that he/she is not a good member. So it is helps us to identify it.   People like aragon, migara they always post valuable threads and we all enjoying them even if we didn't post a comment. Actually they dedicate most of their time for it. So how can we pay them for that, adding rep because they deserve it even if they didn't ask reps. So I don't see any wrongs with that.
