Dear hdgpure, Yes, that's right.. article was written with really good intentions.. :) I found it impressing when I skimmed over it for the first time... My main intention at the moment was providing a link to a Deshana so that others can think inline with Dhamma.. I choose to read the article with more care, only after I did the second post on the thread... I admit that I was wrong not to do it the first place... :( Only when I read the article again I noticed few mistakes it had... :) Dear friends, Thinking we Shrawakas should have is called Yoniso Manasikara, which is thinking according to Dhamma and trying to understand it. Yoniso Manasikara as we know is not the reasoning/analysis done when reading any other subject... If it was any other subject, its OK to have opinions, discuss the way we think, etc. But Shrawakas discussing Dhamma should highlight Dhamma... We have to always check that what we think doesn't go 'wild'... because Avijja Asava we have try to keep us in Avijja all the time... Slightest mistake makes Dhamma discussions wrong... and as Shrawakas we should correct (help correct) mistakes whenever we see them. Why? Our aim of discussing Dhamma is trying to understand it... and we should understand very well how little we know; how wrong our intuition/reasoning/thinking is when it comes to Dhamma. That's why I decided to correct what appears to me as a mistake... because - if I am wrong I get a chance to know/correct that :) - if the article is wrong others will not be misled/ and the author would be able to correct his view After all our aim should be helping one another to understand Dhamma. Isn't it? Yes, I know that the way I had criticized appears harsh (perhaps even rude). Please forgive my tone; it's nothing personal. I really appreciate every thing done to help our understanding of Dhamma. :) But I have to be straightforward in my opposition... because I have to make sure this opposition is visible (so that I can patch up the mistake I did in appreciating the article as a whole)... Please verify the article (and what I say) against Dhamma; and take what you think is right... What I have to say is:

"Pinata Bhaya Venna Epa.. Pina Kiyanne Sepayata Adhivachanayak..." do not give up doing "pin"... esp. Maithree Bhavanawa...
"Vinnyanaya Maya karayek vage" (revatila inna bava denagena Dharmaye hesirenna... revatima nethivenna Rahath vuna da tayi... kalyana mithrayaek vage penunath hitha nam vishvasa karanna epa... dharmayama vishvasa karanna)
Dear friends, I do not know much.. but from experience I know how misleading our minds are... that's why I am concerned.. Theruwan saranai!
