For external powers, Sri Lanka doesn't have any other advantages (petrol,gaz etc)than it's Geographic situation in south east asia. Israel very badly needs geopolitical advantages in the world in case of all out war. That's why they sell assembled US modern weapons to Turkey.In return, Turkey provides landing facilities for Israeli fighter jets so that they(Israel) doesn't have to face counterattack in an arab combined war. Americans and other major powers already have ample global strategic warbases. So that's why SL conflict is not of a major importance for those countries. Anyway, the fact that Sri Lanka was helped by a terrorist nation (Israel) is unarguable.</blockquote>
