CEB Chairman E.A.S.K Edirisinghe rejected the charge and said the power failure experienced in many parts of the country was due to technical problems that needed at least 30 minutes to rectify. He said the alternative energy sources like generators were working at full capacity at peak times between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
