There are no details of damages yet the Government Information Department said.  Speaking to the Daily Mirror a spokesman from Mihin Lanka said that the flight that was landed was a flight bound for Jakartha, Indonesia. He denied that there was any fire and said the emergency landing was a due to a smoke alarm that was raised.  Meanwhile, our correspondent said that the flight which left to Jakartha at 7.30 am was landed at 9.21 am upon detection of the smoke. The 202 passengers on board the MJ 603 aircraft have all been evacuated safely.MIHIN LANKA Press Release  Mihin Lanka Flight MJ603 bound for Jakarta today (9th April) returned to Katunayake, as a precautionary measure, following a smoke alert in the cockpit.
