Dilshan has the power and range of strokes to swing a Test match by quickly building a platform for the likes of Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara further down the order. He has made hundreds in both warm-up matches and been involved in a spot of verbal argy bargy with Steven Finn during the England Lions match.  Finn is unlikely to play this week but with James Anderson, who Yorkshire felt overstepped the mark with his aggression during the Roses match last week, and Stuart Broad in harness the confrontation with Dilshan could set the tone for the series.  "Dilshan is an aggressive player who will come hard at us and it’s important we counter-attack that somehow," said Finn on Monday.  "The captain is always a very important person in the team, as Straussy has shown. Being a rock at the top of the order is hugely beneficial to the team, so if we can get into Dilshan and get him cheaply a couple of times, then we can put the pressure on his other senior players.  "The Ashes was a very big thing but it was just a stepping stone for us to achieve our ultimate goal of being the No 1 team in the world.  "It’s important we don’t rest on our laurels. We have to keep building and keep improving and I feel as though we’re doing that."
