That’s fine, but the club should back that up. There has been a lack of clarity and they’ve allowed the situation to be drawn out over the last six months.” But United's fifth-place Premier League finish, which confirms a second season in three years without Champions League football in 2016-17, may well see the club finally make a decision on Van Gaal's two-year tenure.</blockquote>
