Kanchelskis hits out at Mourinho's 'destructive' playing style Andrei Kanchelskis has hit out at Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, criticising his 'destructive' playing style which alienates wingers. The former Red Devils wideman played at Old Trafford for five seasons, and believes that Mourinho's tactics are hindering United's chances of success. "Mourinho doesn’t like to play wingers. They play a different system now and it’s not like before when United played 4-4-2," said Andrei Kanchelskis, speaking exclusively to 888sport."Now it’s more defensive, looking for results and no longer playing the open football like before, it’s destuctive. "If I was managing a team against Manchester United I would try to play 4-4-2 because if you play with wingers there is more chance of scoring goals against them. "United are struggling to score goals because there is no service. United need better support for their attackers. I had people like Gary Neville and Paul Parker which allowed me to play. Ibrahimovic made a perfect start after signing from PSG, with four goals in his first four Premier League games, but went on a run of six games without a goal before netting two against Swansea.
