:)Rashford picks out his biggest role models at Manchester United Marcus Rashford feels fortunate to have two of the finest strikers of the modern era to learn from at Manchester United. The highly-rated forward enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2016, as he burst onto the domestic scene at Old Trafford and earned senior international recognition with England.Rashford is, however, still only 19 and aware that he has plenty to work on.He could not be in better company, though, with the youngster admitting that he considers two of his current team-mates to be ideal role models. “Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] and [Wayne] Rooney are the two that stand out the most,” Rashford said at a boot launch in Germany.“Obviously I’ve grown up watching Rooney week in week, week out since I was young. They are the two you look at and try to emulate.” If Rashford gets close to achieving what Rooney and Ibrahimovic have done in their respective careers then he will undoubtedly have fulfilled the potential he is showing at present. Rooney is now the leading goalscorer for his country and level with the iconic Sir Bobby Charlton on United’s roll of honour.Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, is showing no sign of slowing down at the age of 35, with the enigmatic Swede considered by Rashford to be a key asset at Old Trafford. He said: “For the young players coming up to see his character and the way he approaches every game and his mentality, it’s invaluable.“Some players can’t bring that when they move clubs so we have to try and learn from him while he’s here and take what we can out of his game.” Ibrahimovic has been in remarkable form over recent months, with a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday his 19th goal of the season – and his 13th in his last 13 appearances. Rashford, meanwhile, has found the target just six times – with his last Premier League effort coming back in September – but Jose Mourinho has vowed to keep him around amid talk of a possible loan switch.
