He always makes the right decision.” Carrick took in just 13 appearances prior to Christmas in the 2016-17 campaign, but would end the season having taken in 38 outings.He was an unused substitute in the Europa League final, but did take to the field in United’s two other trophy triumphs in the Community Shield and EFL Cup. The season just gone also saw a man with 34 England caps to his name pass the 450 appearance mark for United in all competitions, while moving on to 701 in his club career overall.</blockquote>
