He has since been an integral member of the squad, playing just short of 300 competitive matches for the Parc des Princes side. He will be Juventus’ sixth major signing of the summer, joining the Champions League runners-up after Rodrigo Bentancur, Douglas Costa, Wojciech Szczesny, Mattia De Sciglio and Federico Bernardeschi. Juve suffered a surprise 3-2 defeat to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup last weekend, which has reportedly prompted this deal to be hurried through.</blockquote>
