First of all, do me a favor.

Everyone who says Windows is the best one and Linux sucks donkey balls, Slap your self please.

Everyone who says Linux is the best and XP/Vista sucks, Slap your self as well.
Seriously, neither is worse or better than the other, their just different. Just like you can't say Green is a better color than Blue, their just different. Their used for different purposes, needs, skill levels. Windows is easier to learn, more software support for desktop applications and games, and is good enough for the average user. But it doesn't let you customize and tweak it as the user wishes, locked down and vanilla for the power user, automation of tasks is very hard (compared to scripting in Linux), and is very gui-only. Linux on the other hand is geared towards more specific tasks and power users, who want a more stable system, are developers, desktop applications, server usage, want more freedom and the ability to edit up and customize the OS as they wish, lot of automation with scripts, or want something that's free and open source compared to a closed commercial product like Windows. Conclusion If you can do everything you want in Windows and are completely happy, Shut the Fuck Up and Keep using Windows (why fix it if it's not broken). But If you are a power user or like supporting free open source software, and want more control over your desktop, ability to tweak everything, do a lot of development, and have the technical knowledge, then only look in to Linux. Oh and before asking a Question, it would save you a lot of time if you just simply google it (because there are larger communities that only does Linux support) and try to find an answer.
