Even though games are expensive you can easily exchange or resell for a good price. Also PlayStation is the best for Sri Lanka because of the massive secondary market for games and consoles, Not to mention tons of other pros too (ex : Plays Blu-ray disks, easily can hook up to a home theatre / system). I've been using PlayStation since PS 1 era.
