Message: <blockquote data-quote="lkdood" data-source="post: 12364458" data-attributes="member: 92282">The Consumer Affairs Authority yesterday said it would consider the  requests by the two leading LP gas companies for the increase of gas  prices soon.    CAA Chief Rumy Marzook said the matter was being discussed now and the  new prices would be gazetted when the matter was finalized.         In the wake of fuel price hikes last month Internal Trade Minister  Johnston Fernando said gas companies would not be permitted to increase  prices saying the people should not be burdened any further.         However Laugfs and Litro had requested the CAA to increase the price of  a 12.3kg gas cylinder by Rs.209 and Rs.175 respectively.     DM</blockquote>
