It just add what you posted to the same page/window. But in normal HTML you cant do that. You have to load the whole page again. Thats why all those web site php chat room refresh in specific time interval like 5seconds. Even 99% srilankan forums.With ajax you can use HTML to add the last part to the same page without refreshing it. SO save bandwidth and good for even dialup users coz no need to load the page over and over again when posting.</blockquote>
