i saw few threads around the EK that some Bloody Business People trying to get some innocent people to their trap.
so thought post this as a thread. most of these stuff took from a post a posted few years ago...
THINGS ARE WORST than THIS now.
need to say something to everyone who tried to Go abroad for Higher education.... il talk about AUSTRALIA. melbourne.
but as i heard situation in UK same.
when talking abt mel...
now there are lot of international students in mel..and the no of international students increasing rapidly in every semester. mostly from india and china.
Sri lankans.... most young boys and girls wanna come aus for there studies. but they dont know what is the actual situation here. now there are hundreds of overseas students agents in sl.. and they tellin that " you can do wonders in australia ". their main aim is to promote unsuspecting students to proceed aus without givin correct facts. they paint nice picture about earn money and life in aus.
they are telling that students need to worry about paying 1st semester fee in advance then they can earn both living expenses and course fee by doing part time. which is bull sh**.
aus permits only 20 hours per week to work part time. but most of students working more than that.BUT if U get caught to IMMI that is it. Deported. NO DRAMA.
now it is not easy to find a job here. even cleaning. as i know most of new students working in restuarants and other places for very low payment as $6-8 per hour. that is the truth. and they have to kill themselves for that and work like dogs.there are students doing good jobs and get good money. even if you are doing cleaning some places giving nearly $20 per hour. but now it is very very hard to find even that kind of job.
With recession and all those recent racist problems... It is HARD HARD HARD.
but it is very hard to live without a support from parents or relation and for students who working more hours is not easy to continue there studies with good result. bcs it is very hard. as i saw in my college ( when i was studying here )... most of them indians and chinese....most of indian guys were working whole night and they are sleeping in college times. people looking at them like....*&^""%. cant blame any one. bcs as i know those guys were working for very less money. so they have to work more hours.
those agents encourage students with no position to support their education to studies in aus obtain financial sponsers or relatives for visa purpose. but those people not going to give money to you to living in here. so most of people now come here showing fake accounts and what happened to them is they get fu%^%#. ruined there studies and life.
but if we tell these things to peolple in SL..they dont beleive. they think that we are jealousy or something.
but this is the truth. without good financial backgroud dont try to come here.......
dont beleive what agents saying. they doing a business. they getting big commission for each student.
i thought to say this i saw lot of sri lankan student suffering without a part time job...i feel really sorry about them cuz..they came here without knowing anything....
many people think that living abroad is like being in heaven..lol..which is NOT TRUE.. my personal idea is.... try to finish ur degree in SL....then try to go abroad to finish Msc.....etc...cuz is very cheap doing ur studies in SL than here. and parents can help you....im telling this to people who trying to come here with limited money..........
and i have seen students who did good jobs in SL..students who were in uni.... give up everything and come here as students. cant understand whats wrong with them.....does nt matter if u have enough money... but most of them dont have that.....
cuz i knw now most of students try to come aussie....if u see a newspaper thr r 100 s advertisements abt agents...am i correct..??

NYZ... in AUS... if you are planning to come here FOR apply RESIDENCY.. ( do 2 year course and PR ) cut it out.

I posted on that thread by "samithasrimal" coercing ppl to take his offer of 500 pound UK entry, about the situation in china, For info purposes i'll paste my points here too:
No 1: u can't do part time jobs legally, u'r student visa doesn't allow it and u'r toast if u get sniffed by the authorities.
No 2: get a grasp on the language. that is a must else u'r done for again. these ppl are very poor in english and unless u can talk in chinese u can't get a thing done.
No 3: research the facts u'r self, don't believe the agents. ask from ppl who actually lived in those places. the education standard of the uni is limited by the english skills of the teachers (it is quite poor, some fellows can't even express themselves). and that is true for all non english countries.
and to add up to the above, specially for students wishing to study medicine in china. (china has become a popular destination currently coz ppl believe it to be cheap)
First thing it's actually not cheap if u think a bit. You got no way of doing part time legally and u'r totally dependent on your parents. So unlike a place where u can afford for u'r self, if u come to china u pay but never earn. That means u have to provide u'r accomodation and tution fees through u'r guardians. So if someone say's it's 60lakhs for the course the u gotta pay that 60lakhs and u got no way to reduce it though parttime earnings.
Next about the chinese currency, it fluctuates quite a lot in the world market and the current trend is that it increases relative to the US dollar, that means as you spend more time in china, u spend even more. not a cheap deal at all.
Next one is very important if u want to practice medicine in lanka, after studies. Make sure u'r uni is recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council, don't believe if an agent tells u they will get the recognition before u finish studies, If SLMC recongnition is not there, u got no chance of going back to lanka and practicing. (if someone studying medicine abroad can clarify on this matter, or add more details, i'll be grateful)

They provide Fake documents such as bank statements and after they get caught thigns are getting worst for all who seek visa...
and that is what happened to SL... in AUS we are in last category...
