Good luck, Sri Lanka! It seems that the people decided to give unimaginable power to a relatively novice party and taste a different flavor (as usual of testing). Giving power to a new alliance or a party is not a problem. However, the problem is that this is no modest, marginal, or simple majority of power that most of the former presidents had during their regimes. This is the power that people gave to the UNP during the 77' election. Giving such a power means that you should be ready for that the imminent lash back. There is nothing that prevents you from the outcome. Don't try to argue with me about their honorable intentions, pure hearts, blah blah. I don't care. It is proven that it is not wise to give any person or any party such a power. Learn something new! The power paradox: authority changes us all! by giving the true power, damaged the people by the experience of power!, which contrasts to what people expected from their leaders. This phenomenon has been studied for centuries. We may not remember, but kings, empires, warlords, political leaders, and, of course, any people with grains of power had witnessed that phenomenon ages ago. The power increases such a person's confidence, but at the same time, this will reduce empathy and increase the likelihood of unethical behavior. Only the saints can prevent abusing the power! I truly hope this will be debunked with this newly funded regime. But as the result of the Queen Kuveni's curse, we will never have peace. and I truly wish good luck, Sri Lanka!
