His 19-year-old wife, K. Thanayogam (Thana) has lost a leg. M. Nadanavathy (Thevi), 41, a dance teacher at Tharmapuram Mahaviththiyaalayam, with wounds to her stomach, Ariyakuddi Velmurugu, 60, a retired postmaster, with wounds to his legs and Lingeswaran, 60, with wounds to his head were admitted at the hospital.
